Welcome to my web site. It has changed a bit over time, though it will probably always be a work in progress! I intend to improve and update it regularly so please keep checking back.
So a bit more about me.... I am a single mum with twin teenage daughters. I also have a pet dog called Egan. He is a labrador collie cross and is about 6 years old. He came from a rescue centre so was quite hard work to begin with, but is a lot more civilised these days! His best buddy is our rabbit, a dwarf lop called Flopsy.
I am a qualified tutor and have taught several subjects including Information Technology, Literacy, and Occupational Health and Safety. Please visit the link on the left if you are interested in more information on any of these subjects.
In my "spare" time I also run my own business from home selling beautiful Phoenix Greetings cards and stationery. Again, please visit the individual link if you want to find out more about this, or would like to make a purchase.
My daughter Natalie plays keyboards and sings. She has recently passed her Grade 3 exam and was thrilled to get a merit. However, her best achievement to date is that she sings with the National Childrens Choir of Great Britain www.national-childrenschoir.com Two years ago they went on their 10th Anniversary tour to Canada and North America where they had a really lovely time visiting and performing with other local choirs. They are now planning their next trip to Italy in 2012. She is paricularly excited as they will be singing in St Marks Basillica. She is extremely pleased to have be invited to stay as a member of the senior choir now that she is almost too old for the children's section and has moved up this year.
Melanie, my other daughter learned to play guitar and also loves music. Her current interest is cookery and she is getting quite good at that too. This is proving quite bad for my waistline as I have to be the cheif taste tester ! Her best achievement to date was making a card for the Marie Curie Cancer Appeal. It was purchased by someone who sent it to a lady in America who was sufferring from cancer at the time. They were both so impressed by it that they contacted Marie Curie to tell them and Mel received a personal award from the Charity.
I have loads of other hobbies and interests, mostly involving arts and crafts but sadly don't always get time to spend on them very often. Please have a look around and get in touch if there is anything that interests you.
